Religion Isn't Science

It is a categorical distortion to consider intelligent design as belonging in science curriculum. Science describes and explains the world in terms of causal regularities expressed in theories that are mathematically based and continually tested and revised in light of new empirical data.
Religion, on the other hand, describes the world as informed by purpose, will and personality of a transcendent being. In presuming a transcendent being, religion avoids the possibility of direct refutation by empirical or scientific evidence. While religion can give value and meaning to life, it is not science.
