ID Isn't just "Bad Science"...

April 29, 2005

Let’s be honest about the "Origins" question.

Most people feel that God, in one way or another, had a hand in creation. In fact, many scientists feel the same way. One such belief is known as Theistic Evolution, and it proudly proclaims “God Did It!”

Intelligent Design, on the other hand, does NOT support God. It makes no claims on who or what the designer might be, and so opens the door for ANY designer – or designers – to enter the picture. Did Raelians create life on earth? Is magic or voodoo at work behind the scenes? Intelligent Design has no comment.

So pay attention Kansans: If the proposed “minority report” is approved, as the BOE seems intent on doing, then your kids science teacher may have to treat magic as though it were a scientific concept, because this report redefines science to include the supernatural, including magic, voodoo, and yes, even Raelians. Whatever ID is, it clearly isn’t just “bad” science, and “bad” religion. It’s worse.

Bottom Line: If you support God, AND you want your child to learn good science, then you must let the BOE know about it, and insist they reject the minority report.
